Sein &quot;Markenzeichen&quot; ist ein kleinerer Wuchs als beim üblichen Kamel (vergleichbar mit einem Pony gegenüber einem ausgewachsenem Pferd) und proportional kürzere Beine. Diese ermöglichen es dem Kebira-Kamel, sich auch in den hügeligen Ausläufern des [[Al-Kebira-Gebirge]]s sicher zu bewegen. Schwierigere Kletterpartien im Gebirge beherrschen sie jedoch nicht.
